R2-D2 (portrayed by Kenny Baker, currently by Jimmy Vee) is an astromech droid who serves as a major character in the Star Wars saga. He's best friend is C-3PO, even though they can often disagree with each other. R2 helps the Rebellion take on the evil Galactic Empire, aids Queen Amidela in fighting the Trade Federation, helps Anakin Skywalker with his tasks, along with Jaden and his friends. R2 can act a bit stubborn at times, but he is a brave, noble droid with an adventurious spirit in his components.
