The Beast (Voiced by Samuel Ramey) is the main antagonist in Over The Garden Wall. He is known for turning people unlucky enough to stray into the woods and have given up into "Edelwood trees" Trees with oil in them. His soul was kept in a lantern and only the oil from those trees can keep it lit. He used The Woodsman, who he tricked by telling him that is daughter's soul is on the lantern, to cut down the trees to keep his lantern lit. He meet his demise when the Woodsman blows out the lantern.
