Zane Truesdale (voiced by Scottie Ray) is Syrus Truesdale's big brother and top ranked Duelist at Duel Academy during Season 1 of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. He uses a Cyber Dragon Deck with his ace being Cyber End Dragon. He helped in the battle to protect The Sacred Beasts, until he dueled Camula the Vampire Mistress, he lost the duel to save his brother Syrus. Zane is the only Duelist to have defeated Jaden Yuki. Zane had a rematch with Jaden and pass his title of the best duelist to Jaden, and his duel with him ended with a draw. In Season 2, Zane is in the Pro League, and faces Aster Phoenix and loses, he eventually meets Mr. Shroud, and takes Zane to the Underworld Dueling Grounds, he wins against an opponent, from several shocks in his body, and was reborn into a cruel, malice duelist who does not show respect at all to his opponents, all he cares about is victory. Zane eventually gains the Cyberdark series from defeating Chancellor Sheppard, with his deck, and uses it against Syrus, and Atticus, and won. We don't see Zane unitl Season 3, who helps to get Duel Academy back to there dimension, and succeded to help Jesse get The Rainbow Dragon. After Jesse disappears, Zane and Aster watch as Jaden and his friends enter the Dark World Dimension, and aren't seen until Syrus wonders around and rescues Ojama Yellow from Doom Dozer, and starts having chest pain, later revealed after the end of Supreme King, the Underworld Duels have taken a heavy toll on Zane's heart, he didn't have a lot of time left before being sent to the stars. He faced Jesse while under Yubel's control, and lost and was sent to the stars, but not before saying how proud he was of his brother.

- Zane will guest star again in Dueling Dragons.
- In Japan, Zane Truesdale is Ryo Marufuji, and nicknamed Kaiser Ryo, mainly due to the fact he is the top ranked duelist in the school.
- In Season 4 (which didn't premire in America) Zane is found alive, and is hospitalized from his heart problem, and even shows during his duel against a boy who uses Jinzo, so Syrus took over and won, he saw the whole match, and decide to make a new Pro League with Syrus at his side.
